The heart of HOPE’s new strategic plan

HOPE’s new strategic plan, Vision 20/20, describes our goals through the end of 2019, not only for HOPE as an organization but also for each of our four stakeholder groups: clients, field partners, donors, and staff. We pledge to listen and actively respond to the voices of our stakeholders while exploring HOPE’s role in catalyzing transformation across four domains of impact: spiritual, material, personal, and social. Read a summary of Vision 20/20 here.

Our vision for client impact

So what does impact look like in each of these domains? Looking at HOPE network clients, for example, we pray, design programs, and work daily toward the goal of hearing more clients report on the following areas of impact:

Spiritual: Clients have grown closer to Jesus Christ, evidenced by active discipleship and increased knowledge of Him and Scripture.

Material: Clients have experienced material progress and are exhibiting improved stewardship, generosity, and financial management skills.

Personal: Clients have greater dignity and hope for the future as well as an increased awareness of personal giftedness.

Social: Clients have strong relationships with fellow group members and program staff while exhibiting greater care and service.

What impact looks like for Sophievision 2020 2

When Sophie Loueko became pregnant at 16, she thought she had no future. Raising a child on her own in the Republic of Congo, Sophie didn’t know where to turn. Now, more than 40 years later, she is using loans and training from HOPE Congo to grow her knitting business. Pictured below with her husband, Sophie is working toward her dream of expanding her business to the point where she can employ teenage mothers facing the same challenges she overcame. We praise God for the ways Sophie is flourishing spiritually, materially, personally, and socially.

Please join HOPE in prayer as we look forward to how He will work in the lives of our clients, field partners, donors, and staff in the next four years.
