This year, we’ve been excited to see growth in our monthly giving community—155 new people signed up to be Dream Investors! And through additional matches by several generous families, these monthly gifts have unlocked an additional $75,500 so far in 2019.
We can’t emphasize enough how important monthly giving is to advancing HOPE’s mission of investing in the dreams of families in the world’s underserved communities. Here’s why:
1. It helps us plan for the year ahead.
Before the Dream Investor community began to grow, a significant portion of our annual budget was donated in the last couple weeks of December. And while we’re grateful for all the gifts we receive, not knowing how much we’d raise made it difficult to plan and steward our resources well. As our group of Dream Investors has grown, we can better anticipate how much funding we’ll receive, allowing us to maximize our resources to their fullest potential.
2. Monthly giving lets us know who’s in our corner.
No matter how big or small the amount you give monthly, the commitment to give faithfully tells us you’re committed to our mission and the families we serve. It’s deeply encouraging for us to know who’s with us—yes, financially, but also in prayer and mutual relationship with us. (We hope you’re near a HOPE event this fall and can join us to celebrate what God is doing around the HOPE network.)
3. Each gift helps us invest in more dreams.
While the range of monthly giving amounts varies, most Dream Investors commit to giving around $25—allowing HOPE to serve 12 families each year with discipleship, biblically based training, a safe place to save, and loans. Dream Investors donated $105,720 in June 2019 alone—enough for the HOPE network to serve 7,781 families for an entire year! Your monthly gifts are adding up to serve thousands of additional families every month.
To those of you who have committed to walking with us in this way—thank you! We’re so grateful for your faithful commitment to investing in dreams. We couldn’t do this work without you.
