Together with our partners, we invested $148 milli Together with our partners, we invested $148 million into the dreams of 99,000+ underserved entrepreneurs last year. They used those loans to grow their businesses and provide for their families across the globe.🙌

These numbers represent capable people who are changing their lives and building better futures for their families, one loan at a time. In the words of our CEO @peterkgreer: “Our hearts’ cry is simply, ‘Wow, God! Thank You!’”
Marlene grew up walking the outskirts of Asunción Marlene grew up walking the outskirts of Asunción, Paraguay’s capital, with her mother, Teresa, collecting scrap metal to sell. "If we didn't go, we didn’t have enough to eat that day,” Marlene shares.

Things began to change for their family when Teresa joined a loan group run by @diaconiaparaguay, HOPE International’s local partner. With a small loan, she started a shop, and eventually built a brick home for her children.

Years later, Marlene joined the same group as her mother. With a $75 loan, she launched a delivery business, adapted through the pandemic, and now runs a busy market stall alongside her family.

“We still work long hours, but we have more. ... We’re more financially stable. I spend more time with my family now because we all work together,” Marlene reflects.

We praise God for how Diaconía is working with entrepreneurs to spark lasting change across generations!

There’s no joy like being together as a united t There’s no joy like being together as a united team. We just wrapped up our in-person Leadership Summit—a chance for the global HOPE network of staff and partners from 30 countries to gather in the same place!

We learned from one another, shared meals and laughter, and dreamed together about what God will do through HOPE in the future. Here’s to equipping even more underserved families with a safe place to save, business loans, and training to overcome poverty and find hope in Christ—together.🙌
