In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re c In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the strength, resilience, and God-given worth of women around the world.

Women in underserved communities are at the heart of breaking cycles of poverty—building savings, growing businesses, and inviting their families to learn about Jesus. That’s why we invest in women as agents of lasting change: When women flourish, families and communities thrive.
Today, we’re celebrating the release of The Way Today, we’re celebrating the release of The Way Back to One Another by Phil Smith and Jeff Galley.🎉

Phil is HOPE’s former senior director of savings groups, and Jeff is a pastor and longtime HOPE supporter. While from different backgrounds, both were struck by what they witnessed in HOPE savings groups around the world. They expected to encounter stories of economic change, but what stayed with them was relational renewal—strangers becoming family, like in Pascasie's story.

Once labeled ikizira (“abomination”), Pascasie was invited into a HOPE savings group through her local church (pictured in third photo). Over time, she found a place where she was known and loved. As she shared, “Ubumwe group is not just a savings group; it is my second family.”

Stories like Pascasie’s are at the heart of The Way Back to One Another. The book is a hopeful guide to rediscovering the kind of Christ‑centered community we were designed for. If you’re longing for deeper connection—or hoping to help others find it—this was written for you. Learn more and access free resources at thewaybacktooneanother.com.
We want to love and serve families living in pover We want to love and serve families living in poverty because we’re on a mission to help build Christ’s Kingdom here on earth.

At HOPE, everything we do is rooted in our love from following Christ. We believe lasting change happens when people encounter Jesus, so we walk alongside families living in poverty through culturally sensitive discipleship in each of the 30 countries where we work.

To do this, we hire local believers who feel called to make disciples in their own communities. And we partner with local churches because we know they're the ones who will continue walking with families long after we're gone.

As much as we’re passionate about helping families escape the generational cycle of poverty, we know meeting physical needs alone isn’t enough—that’s why we want to introduce people to the One who transforms everything.
